HONORS:

Theodor Körner-Preis, Staatsstipendium der Republik Österreich, numerous work scholarships, Preis des ÖASB-Chorwettbewerbs, Förderungspreis der Stadt Wien, Honorary Degree as the Best Composer of Film Music at the 12th International 'Fajr Film Festival', etc.
For his film score for "Der gute Ort", he was elected a member of the Freie Akademie der Künste Rhein-Neckar (until recently, he was one of the few musicians)

FILM & TV MUSIC:

First film score was for "Steinbichler Geschichten" in 1982, a co-production of ORF and ZDF. Since then, he has written numerous scores for ORF, SWR and ZDF, as well as many international TV & film companies.
Major point: composition and production of music in all styles and from all areas for films, especially TV films, for which he wrote in Renaissance, Baroque, popular, and modern styles.
For example: music and entire sound design for the five-part ORF millennium series: "1000 Jahre Österreich – es ist ein gutes land." This series was also released on video.

 

STAGE MUSIC:

For Frankfurt/Main, Chur, Bregenzer Festspiele, Theater für Vorarlberg, numerous touring productions, Volkstheater Wien, etc.
1985-91 Music Director of the Freilichtspiele Schwäbisch Hall.
1991 & 92 Vereinigte Bühnen Graz
Producer of the youth group for "STREETGANG". This is Austria’s most popular and successful ‘Youth for Europe Programme’, sponsored by the European Union.
Two musicals (premières during the Wiener Festwochen 1992)
Two children's operas-“RABAUTZ,” premièred in June 1995 at the
Kinderklangfestival [Children's Sounds Festival] at the Wiener Künstlerhaus.
and “Elster & Parzival” - a children's opera, premiered on March 29th 2003 at
Deutsche Oper Berlin. Premiere in Austria in June 2003 -at Kinderklangfestival [Children's Sounds Festival] at the Wiener Künstlerhaus. Premiere of the new edition September 21st 2006 at Deutsche Oper Berlin. Published by Sikorski, Hamburg

CONTEMPORARY SERIOUS/MODERN CLASSICAL WORK:

Has been heard since 1979 throughout Austria, as well as at important international festivals, including Huddersfield, Ville d’Avray, Aspekte Salzburg, Steirischer Herbst, Österreich Heute 1-5, Cité Internationale des Arts, etc.
His ‘Mystic Strings’ op. 60 for string orchestra appeared on a 2000 new music sampler supported by the chancellery section of the Art Affairs Bureau. This work was previously played in Paris and St. Petersburg, as well as in the Wiener Konzerthaus.
Likewise appeared CDs with his "Symphonie in Brass II" and "Live from MidEurope" „THE PHOENIX" - dedicated to the victims of war and violence - a commission from the Swiss Army Brass Band.
Works include 'The Sunrise Dance' for symphonic wind band, 'Astoria Lounge' for violin & piano, '3 feine Miniaturen for oboe & piano', '3 ganz neue Stücke for clarinet' (published by ECHO/Koch-Universal, 3 Stücke aus der Emigration (version for orchestra), and 'Abschiedsstück' op. 35 (version for soprano & piano).
